It is reported that the violent incident took place at approximately 10:30 pm as Mike Tyson was boarding a flight out of San Francisco International Airport to Florida.
The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) stated that officers responded to the scene, detaining two individuals who are believed to be involved in the incident.
According to police, an individual was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, however, the person did not provide sufficient details of the incident.
The individual is also believed to have refused to cooperate with investigating law enforcement officers.
According to some sources close to the former professional boxer, the victim was inebriated and continued to provoke Tyson.
It is said that Tyson was unable to keep his cool, and ultimately began to repeatedly punch the man in the face.
A separate witness who was on the flight said that Tyson was initially cool with the man, along with other passengers, and even took a selfie with him.
The 555-year-old eventually had enough of the man talking behind his ear and asked him to chill.
The man would not settle down, and that is when “Iron Mike” started to throw several punches at the man’s face according to the witness.

The SFPD has stated that they are aware of the video of the altercation and has forwarded it to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
No stranger to outrageous scandals tied to his name, making the news. In 1992 Tyson was convicted of raping 18 year Desiree Washington.
He was sentenced to 6 years in prison.
The boxer had marital issues with Robin Given who divorced him three months after they wed due to domestic assault.
After his return from prison, in a rematch with Evander Holyfield. Tyson bit off Holyfield’s ear and was disqualified, fined, and suspended from the fight.
He has also made death threats leading up to a fight against Lennox Lewis as well as threats against Donovan Ruddock before their 1991 fight.
Tyson has also admitted to struggling with drug addiction so much that he said he became a “full-fledged cokehead”.
He also admitted to cheating on drug tests as well as fighting while still under the influence of cocaine.
