UFC star Conor McGregor is facing charges of dangerous driving, after being charged by the Irish police on Tuesday evening.
McGregor was arrested and later released on bail, with his Bentley being seized by the police.
His spokesperson, Karen Kessler, told Reuters that the former champion was apprehended for allegedly beating the traffic lights on his way to the gym.
“Mr. McGregor was driving to the gym when he was stopped by gardai (Irish police force) for alleged road traffic violations. He passed the drug and alcohol tests taken at the station.”

McGregor has previous encounters with the law, having been charged with assault of a man in 2019 after pleading guilty. He was also allegedly accused of sexual assault, despite him not being charged. as far as dangerous driving is concerned, he previously fined for speeding in Dublin back in 2018 and had his license suspended.
The 33-year-old had his last fight back in July 2021, where he lost to Dustin Poirier and suffered a freak leg break, which required him to undergo surgery.
