Baroka FC will be looking to cause an upset when they take on Mamelodi Sundowns in their DSTv Premiership encounter on Monday night.
Bakgakga goes into the game hoping to build up from their previous league results, after producing a narrow 1-0 victory against Royal AM, and knocking Stellenbosch out of the Nedbank Cup. Baroka coach, Kgoloko Thobejane, believes that his side does stand a chance to cause an upset to the reigning champions, “There is no denying that Sundowns is in the best form they have ever been, but this is football all we need is a chance, remember it’s 11 against 11”. Masandawana co-coach, Manqoba Mngqithi, is wary of the threat their opponent poses, saying that Baroka will be a tough team to play, “We are playing against a team that normally gives us a hard time. Baroka is a hard-running team with some very industrious players, like Evidence Makgopa and Nhlanhla Mgaga.”

Thobejane goes into the game with a fully fit squad, with the hope to maintain their winning momentum against the champions. Meanwhile, Sundowns still have injury concerns of Lebohang Moboe (Knee injury), Thabiso Kutumela (Muscle injury), and Gaston Sirino (Nasal fracture).
