A further urgent application to stop the coronation of Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini was denied by the North Gauteng High Court with costs.
As a result, His Majesty will be able to claim the title of Zulu monarch in front of the nation’s 15 million people next month.

Prince Mbonisi of eKhwezi, who claimed King Misuzulu was unable to rule, submitted the application.
Prince Mbonisi said the king used drugs and drank excessively in a 78-page court interdict.
A recent attempt was made by Prince Mbonisi to obstruct King Misuzulu’s speech during a celebration to commemorate the Zulus’ great victory over the British at the Battle of Isandlwana.
Prince Thulani Zulu says that they feel ashamed because they don’t want the Zulu family to be divided.
“This is the pain that some do not want the king to be officially crowned. We are glad that the court keeps dismissing those who are fighting against the coronation of King Misuzulu.
“Even the things that were said by Prince Mbonisi were unfortunate but all we want is for the Zulu family to be united so that the Zulu nation could be united,” he said.
Prince Mbonisi criticized Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi and questioned his authority as an elder in the Zulu royal family during the same court arguments.
He claimed Prince Mangosuthu was advancing his political goals by taking advantage of his closeness to the king.
The Inkatha Freedom Party’s founder and emeritus president is Buthelezi.
Over the course of the past year, a number of Zulu royal family members have taken the king’s coronation to court, with another case now pending at the Pietermaritzburg High Court.
Prince Simakade is being pushed as the heir apparent to the late King Goodwill Zwelithini by the royal rebels.
