Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams has delivered a keynote address on how cloud technologies are driving digital transformation in South Africa.
She said Amazon’s recent announcement of a R4 Billion investment in SA is a nod to the potential of our country as a destination for digital investments.

“We are already seeing the Data Economy driving the Global GDP today and into the future.

“We believe that the trend will push for Data-driven government and enable advances in agriculture, food security, clean environment, energy management and smart cities.”
The pandemic demonstrated the need to embrace Cloud swiftly as people worked from home according to minister. Globally, governments and enterprises transitioned to remote teamwork in weeks. What seemed to be achieved in years has been accomplished in few months.
