JOHANNESBURG – Since pleading not guilty, several witnesses have implicated him of the murder of Tshegofatso Pule.
He has denied having a contract out for the soon to be mother of his unborn child stating that he was excited about her pregnancy.
Shoba stated that while he was shocked about Pule’s pregnancy, he was looking forward to it and had even planned to have Tshegofatso meet his family.
Shoba was put on trial after Muzikayise Malephane detailed the events leading up to Pule’s murder, stating that he had been hired by Shoba to kill Pule out of fear of being discovered by his wife.
Malephane has since entered into a plea agreement with the state and is now serving a 20 year jail term.
This has been found to link into state prosecutor Paseka Temeki who shared of Shoba’s neglect during the pregnancy, leaving Pule to handle the logistics of the process on her own.
There was also mention of WhatsApp conversations between Pule and a woman suspected to be Shoba’s wife, allegedly threatening Pule.
The state has submitted the threatening text messages #TshegofatsoPule received from a certain woman who told her to leave her man. These have been submitted as an exhibit. @motso_modise pic.twitter.com/5yLajLQXPT

“You know this was simple Shoba should of accepted the pregnancy instead of ordering a hit on her💔 #TshegofatsoPule”
“Yeah no, this guy is gonna have a lot of time to think about what he’s done #tshegofatsopule”
“May #tshegofatsopule and her unborn baby get justice 💔”
“Replying to @ewnreporter and @motso_modiseThe only question that should never be overlooked is what would Muzi’s intension be to kill #TshegofatsoPule? What kind of person doesn’t accompany their partner to the car to see whom they’re traveling with? A PREGNANT woman nogal? What about her safety?”
