JOHANNESBURG – Former South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) COO, Hlaudi Motsoaneng opens up about the allegations labelled against him during his tenure at the Public Broadcaster.
Conversing on Podcast and Chill – A South African controversial podcast which premiered on 3, February 2022, hosted by McGver “MCG” Mukwevho and Co-hosted by Sol Phenduka, the SABC former boss addressed the incidents, when he was accused of being involved in the dismissal and axing of workers more especially on Metro FM – SABC’s biggest commercial radio station. Motsoaneg confidently stated that he was not involved in any incidents of firing and dismissal of employees. However, executive managers were the ones responsible for such acts.
Motsoaneng has further dismissed allegations that he ordered the former Metro FM DJ and businessman Thabo “Tbo Touch” Molefe to prevent American boxer, Floyd Mayweather from leaving Metro FM studios after a radio interview to take pictures with him.
Relating to the allegations involving a Venda Chief gifting him with a wife (22), Motsoaneng dismissed the allegations as a lie, “l know how to engage and propose women, they asked me about the same incident at the gender commission and I told them the same thing, why would I be gifted with a woman while I can get one for myself?” Mostoaneng asked.
The former SABC boss further shared his ambitions about his newly founded political party, African Content Movement (ACM) which set to contest for presidential on general election to be held in 2024.
