POLOKWANE – Conty Lebepe Foundation (CONLEF) has made a request to His Majesty Kgabo Kgoshi Moloto and his Council to do what is culturally right by returning stand no. 451 at Ga-Moeti in Moletjie to the rightful owner Mr Mahlodi Johannes Kgadima regardless of anything as he is still married to his deceased wife.
“We understand that discussion of handing over one’s property and estate only happens when the person is deceased, but in this case, it happened whilst the owner is still alive.
“We publicly launch this request after failed negotiations with Moloto Royal Council which was chaired by Morqueen Moloto on the 17th September 2021,” the foundation said.
The council granted the enstranged stepson of a pensioner Mr Mahlodi Kgadima, Mr Maselema Christopher Moakamedi the title deed only because the father had some marital tiffs with his late wife.
Moakamedi is a surname of his biological father which was adopted after the death of his late mother, even the title deed changed from Kgadima to Moakamedi.
But according to the Royal Council, he doesn’t deserve the stand as his stepson had built a big house for the family, and they are also threatening to expel him from the village in which he was born and bred at only if he continues questioning their decision.
“The council also chose not to respond to our plea of getting the minutes of the meeting we had with them through our legal representative, MS SETJIE ATTORNEYS on the 18th November 2021. We therefore humbly request Bahlaloga Royal Council to reconsider their decision before we take the matter forward to the highest authority that might be,” CONLEF said.
