South Gauteng High Court ordered Rea Gopane to pay R300 000 plus damages to Media personality Bonang Matheba, but he says he won’t pay a cent
Rea Gopane is South African podcaster who found himself in hot water after being sued for an amount of R 300 000 plus damages after making defamatory statements against Bonang Matheba.
The controversial podcaster has taken to his social media platforms saying that she will not get a single cent from him.
“Yo yo yo, mic check 1; 2, 1;2, let me tell you something real quick, come closer…SHE’S NOT GETTING A CENT! She’s not getting a cent from me, you know what mean?
I’ve been having this planned out from last year bro, I ain ’t paying SH*#t!”
He also went on to reiterate that he would rather burn every single rand he’d ever make than to pay Bonang.
“I would much rather burn every single rand that I will ever make in my entire life than give it to that other queen of yours, literally set it on fire”.
He also went on to say that he will not be enslaved or denied of his right to freedom of speech.
“I love my country South Africa and the freedom we have been blessed with. In my lifetime, I will be exercising my freedom to the most extreme limits. I refuse to be mentally and physically enslaved”.
Matheba has since gone to her social media to share and celebrate that she has finally won the case against Rea Gopane, giving details of the court order and thanking her legal team as well as those who have stood behind her, for their support.
