The presenter and musician recently took to his Instagram Live to thank his fans and followers for all the support he has received from them and went ahead to warn them about the Coronavirus, which he says he contracted last year as he was shooting his other show called ‘You Promised To Marry Me’ on the same channel as Uyajola 9/9, Moja Love.
In a lengthy video, Jub Jub explained to fans that talking about the situation was very hard on him and being in it made it even worse. He disclosed that he didn’t want his fans to know about the situation let alone for them to see him in that condition he was in. He continued to explain how devastated the people close to him were at that time.
“In 2020, November, I was in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha). I was shooting You Promised To Marry Me, I had the most devastating experience of my life, I never thought I would go through that. So, in 2020 I got f*cked up by Covid-19. And you guys saw me and after that started wondering ukuthi why have I lost so much weight.”

Jub Jub explained how his producer at that time helped him by taking him to the clinic. He explained his symptoms and said: “when I got medication, I felt dizzy, like my body was heating up. And this was before Delta.”
He urged his fans to take the pandemic serious as he warned them. He went on to explain that at first, he thought that by taking vitamins regularly and following the regulations he was all set and be safe, but that proved him wrong as he had a near death experience at his hotel room. So much that he was even afraid to sleep because he wasn’t sure he will wake up the next day.
Jub Jub encouraged those who are currently affected and infected with the virus not to give up but instead have a strong mindset and believe that we will all get through these dark Covid times.
