Mncedisi Shabangu, a South African actor, dramatist, and theater director best known for playing Khulekani Ngobese in the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City, has died.
Shabangu, who won a SAFTA for his portrayal of Khulekani Ngobese in Rhythm City, passed away on July 24 at the age of 53.

According to a statement from the family, the actor passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning,His cause of death is still unknown as the family has not shared more details.
“It is with great sadness that the Shabangu family informs you of the sudden passing of Mncedisi Baldwin Shabangu. He passed on in the early hours of Sunday morning.”

Shabangu also played roles in The Lab, iNumber Number before receiving a SAFTA for his popular villainous role as Khulekani in Rhythm City.
