The Miss South Africa organization has revealed that Anele Mdoda will serve as the event’s host in 2022.
The pageant will be hosted by Mdoda alone this year, and she says that having a venue filled to capacity will inspire her to perform to the best of her abilities.
“I’m very excited that we are back to a full capacity arena because a packed arena suits my energy levels and always motivates me to work just that little bit harder to ensure that everyone has a good time and really enjoys the evening,” she said in a statement.
The radio host has experience with the pageant because she has previously served as a judge and co-host.
The top ten contestants have been urged by Mdoda to enjoy the occasion and not worry about potential wardrobe mishaps.
“They should not worry about what they think they look like or whether they answered a question correctly or if something happens to their hair or dress when they’re on stage. No one cares. If they are having a good time, everybody else is having a good time,”Mdoda said.
The top 10 contestants for the title are Anarzade Omar, Ayanda Thabethe, Itumeleng Parage, Keaoleboga Nkashe, Lebogang Mahlangu, Luvé Meyer, Luyanda Zuma, Ndavi Nokeri, Pearl Ntshehi, and Tamsyn Jack.
The pageant will be held on the August 13 at 18:30, Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) and Mnet (DStv Channel 101) will broadcast live coverage of Miss SA 2022.
The competition will also be webcast on the Miss SA app for people globally and seeing that the event is being held during Women’s Month, the finale sure promises to be a fun-filled event.
