Wife to Andile Mpisane, Tamia has been appointed deputy chairperson of Royal AM ladies, the club’s women’s football team.
Durban businesswoman and Royal AM boss, Shaun Mkhize otherwise popularly known as ‘MaMkhize’ made an announcement after buying the club previously known as Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies and later renamed it Royal AM Ladies.
All the teams’ games will be played at Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammarsdale, Durban.
In a statement, Ma Mkhize revealed that her daughter Tamia will aim to an important role in ensuring that the team continues to thrive.
“Tamia Mpisane is going to be deputy chair of the women’s team,” said Mkhize.
“As I’m creating the legacy for my kids, we are all in this thing and I want to categorically say this is not for us, but its for the whole country that believes in the game of football”, she continued.
Shaun has stated that the technical team that oversees Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies, will remain at Royal Ladies however there will be changes made in the near future along with the possibility of a woman coach.
Andile is the youngest chairperson in the Premier Soccer League, and Tamia is from a football family.
Fans came to know about the couple’s involvement when news of their wedding broke. They later went on to welcome their first-born child together, ultimately making them one of Mzansi’s favourite couples.
