A woman has spoken out against Burna Boy, real name Damini Ogulu after an alleged shooting incident which is said to have taken place at Club Cubana in Victoria Island in Lagos, Nigeria.
According to a married woman identified as Briella N, the incident which took place on Wednesday, June 8th, the shooting took place after she allegedly turned down advances from Burna Boy.
Briella says that she and her husband visited Nigeria for a childhood friend’s wedding, they later went on to party at the club, where they encountered Burna Boy and his camp.
It is reported that Burna Boy sent one of the people in his group to call Briella N, who was partying with her Husband.
She says that the brawl that ensued afterward left her traumatized.
Taking to her Instagram, Briella narrated her experience:
She said, “As the night progressed, one of Burna Boy’s friends walked to talk to me, his request was for Burna Boy to talk to me.
“On that first attempt, I told him I wasn’t interested in talking to Burna Boy, and I am married to my partner. He came again the second time and was met with the same response.
“He came the third time and that caused a few of our friends to flare up as they asked why he kept coming to disturb me. There were words back and forth and one of Burna Boy’s friends attacked one of our friends, and as they attacked him, the situation degenerated into a fight”.
Briella went on to state that the situation was brought under control until another fight broke out in Burna’s own camp.
She further claimed that this is where Burna’s security started to shoot at people with no regard for people’s lives.
“They were out to kill and didn’t care who got hit. My partner’s head was bleeding profusely, and his friend lost so much blood he needed a donor as soon as he got to the hospital”, she said.
Another Twitter user has since taken to social media to discredit what she said, giving another account of the incident.

“The guy’s so-called wife went to snap with Burna Boy in his VVIP top corner and instead of him (husband) to wait until she returned, he wet there violently to drag her out, he was resisted for his confrontational approach by Burna’s security.

The lady that Burna Boy approached has shared her story, police should take it up, and invite Burna Boy & his friends with guns for their part, Cubana club should provide CCTV & justice must be served.
