Fans on the Twitter streets haved called Somizi Mhlongo’s estranged husband Mohale Motaung, out for reportedly claiming 50% of Somgaga’s estate during divorce proceedings.
In episode five of ‘Living The Dream With Somizi’, the media personality was brutally honest about the downfall of their marriage.

Somizi mentioned certain factors that contributed to the failure of their union. Somgaga claimed that their intimate connection in the bedroom had lost its spark, he further stated that they couldn’t resolve their issues after a fight. Furthermore, he stated that Mohale allegedly wanted 50% out of the divorce settlement.
During the latest episode of Somizi’s reality show, it was revealed that the pair was not legally married.
According to Somizi’s friend and lawyer – Hopewell Sekgethe, Motaung is entitled to 50% of Mhlongo’s estate.
Sekgethe states that Somizi and Mohale did not go to Home Affairs and didn’t sign a marriage certificate or any document to officiate their union. Somizi then says that during their white wedding the pastor didn’t arrive with paperwork and it ended up working well for him and implying that it helped him in the end.
“We were supposed to sign the following week but I never raised it. Anyway, in our marriage, I was always the initiator, had he initiated it, then I would have been skeptical. So I stayed silent.
Sathekege explained that their split will be dealt with in customarily, which means that Somizi would have to produce photos to show that their marriage had taken place. This is due to the fact that they did not sign a marriage certificate.
This has created a halt in the divorce proceedings. It has been reported that no one has come forward to prove that lobola was paid.
In order for Mohale to have any success in claiming his 50% of Somizi’s estate, he would require a lobola letter to prove that their marriage took place in customary law.

It is alleged that Somizi is refusing to give Mohale any other receipts that prove that they were indeed married as this would go against him in divorce proceedings.
The reality show star has been reported saying that Mohale will get “zilch” from him, not even a “toothpick”.
Fans have since taken to social media to media to weigh in on the debacle between the pair:

Mohale is indeed a gold digger. Why demand something you didn't work hard for?
Also customary marriage doesn't recognise same sex marriage, so technically they were never married. A win for @somizi https://t.co/f7AN08DLmb
