Da Baby’s fatal 2018 footage has emerged, showing the rapper shooting 19-year-old Jaylin Craig. It is now the subject of a new investigation, as it reveals Baby being the aggressor in the altercation with Craig.

This contradicts his initial claim of self-defense.

In 2019, the pull-up artist was convicted of carrying a concealed weapon in connection with the shooting. He then claimed that it was self-defense, extending his claim onto an Instagram live session shortly after the shooting.
The 2018 Walmart footage was at the center of a Rolling Stone piece after being mentioned by Dave Chapelle during his Netflix special titled ‘The Closer.’
The footage was retrieved by Craig’s family and is now included in a police file used in the investigation.
The late Jaylin Graig’s family has had an issue with the handling of the investigation as well as Da Baby’s initial claim of self-defense.

It is alleged that the police did not interview multiple people who were at Walmart who are said to have been witnesses or parties to the incident.
Craig’s closest friend said that the incident had started to get intense when the rapper began to be annoyed at having been recognized.
Most recently, the rapper confirmed shooting a man in the leg for trespassing at his home.
In an Instagram post he wrote:
“chose not to take a n*gga life the other day & it felt great. Buddy didn’t deserve to go, I step righteously.
Heal up & live my boy!
Just don’t bring yo ass back”, wrote the rapper.
According to law enforcement sources, the rapper exchanged words with the said intruder before proceeding to shoot him in the leg for trespassing at his Troutman estate.
He then reportedly called 911 and was fully cooperative with the police.
