ASAP Rocky was arrested at LAX International Airport on Wednesday as he arrived from vacation with his pregnant girlfriend Rihanna.

Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) stated that the arrest was in connection with Rocky’s potential involvement in a non-fatal shooting that took place in Hollywood last year.
The supposed victim told police that the 33-year-old was walking in the street with two other people when he approached with a handgun, letting off three to four shots.
The victim alleges that a bullet grazed his left hand.
Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Meyers, was released on a bail amount of $ 550 000 (R 8 379 085 million), shortly after the arrest.

In a statement on Twitter by the LAPD, it is said that the victim sustained minor injuries.

Meyer’s lawyer declined to comment on the matter, however, did confirm the rapper’s arrest.
ASAP Rocky rose to fame in 2010 after being co-signed by Canadian rapper Drake and went on to work with some of the biggest names in the international music industry.

His relationship with a billionaire girlfriend, fashion and music mogul, and soon-to-be a mother of his child was confirmed last year when he referred to Riri as the “love of my life” and “the one”.
The couple has most recently come out of a cheating rumor scandal, from which it was alleged that Rocky had cheated on Rihanna with her friend and Fenty shoe designer Amina Muaddi.
It was also alleged that Rihanna had found out about Rocky’s cheating and called the relationship quits.
Amina came out with a statement denying all allegations and stating that such a rumor was fabricated with malicious intent.
