Here is what some of South Africans has to say about Lalela representing South Africa
“I think Lalela had the best moments in Miss Universe as 2nd runner up. The opportunity should be given to another person, perhaps Zimi or Dr Moratwe” commented one tweep
Miss SA is just being shady with this whole thing. They opted 1st and 2nd runner up instead of Miss World SA and Miss Supra SA because they wanted to wiggle themselves out of that should a need arise. They did not want to commit those two titles. Look now.
“You guys did the two girls dirty, Lalela had her chance, why must the dreams of the other two girls be crushed?? They are clearly hurt.” said one user.
However, South African runner up Moratwe Masima unfollowed the Miss SA organisation and removed her runner up on her Instagram bio after the announcement.
In addition, Stacey May has cleared the air about the process of the Miss SA pageant that Miss SA is acting well within her rights to participate.
