JOHANNESBURG – TV host, actress and executive producer has changed her name on Instagram to just – Minnie Dlamini.
Having previously been excited to add another title to her surname after her marriage, to ‘Mrs Jones’ as stated in interviews, South Africa’s sweetheart Minnie Dlamini has caused a little bit of a stir of confusion.
Although her name remains ‘Minnie Dlamini Jones’ on Twitter, she had stated that the name ‘Minnie Dlamini’ would remain the same in showbiz for the purposes of branding.
There have been some speculations that Dlamini’s marriage with her husband, Quinton Jones, has been on the rocks as news about the couple breaking out following an altercation at a Cape Town airport. The incident has since sparked divorce rumours, which she was quick to shut down.
“First, I’m getting divorced, then I’m fighting in public with my husband. Mrs. Jones ain’t going anywhere no matter what lies you try to spread” she said.
She has recently been alleged to be spotted without her wedding ring, leaving many wondering if there is indeed trouble in paradise in the ‘Jones’ camp or if this may be one of her business-led decisions.
The proud mom and media personality premiered a new film under her production company – Beautiful Day Production. The film titled ‘No love lost’ which aired on Valentine’s Day, features some of Mzansi’s A– list actors with the likes of Lungile Radu; Pallance Dladla, and Zola Nombana part of the cast.
The producer took to her Instagram to share the news with a post captioned:
“What is the worst thing that can happen to you on Baecation? #NoLoveLost airs on @showmaxonline on #ValentinesDay. A @beautifuldayproductions film.
