Valentine’s Day is a day meant to celebrate love through romance and going the extra mile to show appreciation towards your partner.
Back in school, 14 February meant civic day, wearing red and a touch of white color theme. However, these days many have developed a somewhat cynical perspective towards Valentine’s Day as people have come to see in adulthood.
While some would say that it has been turned into a marketing campaign linked to brand partnerships. There are real couples in real relationships that would say love should be celebrated every day and not just on Valentine’s Day.
With all said and done, it cannot be denied that there are indeed a few couples that just know how to express their mutual love for one another and still incorporate the use of social media in such a way that one cannot help but be touched, disregarding any cheesiness.
A young couple from Hoerskool Louis Trichard ‘understood the assignment’ and caught the attention of many with this adorable gesture.
In a video that made rounds on Twitter, the scene starts with a 1978 old school classic – ‘ Love is in the air by John Paul Young, a young lady can be seen walking along, following a trail of people holding onto balloons, and before arriving in a crowd of people standing around in a shape resembling a heart, with who could possibly be a boyfriend standing in the middle of the crowd to wish her a happy Valentine’s day.

This gesture definitely pulled at the heartstrings of many and goes to show that Valentine’s day tradition is certainly very much alive and far from over.
